Clubs
Fun Club
Our fun club is coordinated by our counselor, Kristen Murphy. It provides opportunities for students to play games and socialize at school and requires a signed permission slip after trying out the activities. The fun club allows students the opportunity to participate in social, emotional learning activities about common interests.
Girl Talk
Our girl talk club is coordinated by our secretary and clerk, Kym Lusk and Sarah Asebedo. It provides opportunities for girls to build a positive community with each other at school. This program promotes safety, respect, responsibility, and building positive experiences. The girl talk club allows students the opportunity to engage in positive social, emotional learning activities. Girl talk club meets during school lunch and requires a signed permission slip.
Young Gentlemen's League
The young gentlemen's league is coordinated by GCR Church of Christ volunteers. It provides opportunities for boys to build a positive community with each other at school. This program promotes safety, respect, responsibility, and how to dress and act like a gentleman. The young gentlemen's league allows students the opportunity to engage in positive social and emotional learning activities. The young gentlemen's league meets during school lunch and requires a signed permission slip.
Young Ladies' League
The young Ladies' league is coordinated by GCR Church of Christ volunteers. It provides opportunities for girls to build a positive community with each other at school. This program promotes safety, respect, responsibility, and how to dress and act like a lady. The young ladies' league allows students the opportunity to engage in positive social and emotional learning activities. The young ladies' league meets during school lunch and requires a signed permission slip.
Right at School
Right at School is coordinated by our district partner. It provides opportunities for students to complete homework and participate in organized active and craft activities in an after-care program. Right at School meets after school from 3:00-6:00 pm and requires enrollment through their website. The program operates daily after school from 3:00-6:00 pm and on select school holidays and breaks with half and full day options.
Book Club
Our book club is coordinated by our secretary, Kym Lusk. It provides opportunities for students to share and collaborate about books they have recently read or are currently reading. This program promotes childhood literacy, lifelong literacy, and literary interests. The book clubs allow students the opportunity to share their love of reading while engaging in social, emotional learning activities about common interests. Book club meets after school from 3:15-4:00 pm in the Reading Room and requires a signed permission slip.
Drum Club & Choir Club
Our drum club (fall) and choir club (spring) are coordinated by our fine arts teacher, Laura Holleman. They provide opportunities for students to participate in a drum circle and learn to play bongo-style drums, or participate in the celebration of song and learn how to sing in a group. This program promotes fine arts enrichment, hand-eye coordination, and music interests. The clubs allow students the opportunity to share their love of music while engaging in social, emotional learning activities about common interests. The clubs meet after school from 3:15-4:00 pm in the fine arts room and require a signed permission slip.
Good News Club
The good news club is coordinated by a non-profit that partners with churches. It provides opportunities for students to share and collaborate in bible study and related activities. This program promotes spiritual well-being, lifelong literacy, and community interests. The good news club allows students the opportunity to share their love of the bible while engaging in social, emotional learning activities about common interests. The good news club meets after school from 3:00-4:00 pm in the Library and requires a signed permission slip.
Run Club
Our run club is coordinated by our coach, Lucas Burge. It provides opportunities for students to participate in group running activities. This program promotes health, wellness, lifelong fitness, and physical activity. The run club allows students the opportunity to share their love of running while engaging in social, emotional learning activities about common interests. Run club meets after school from 3:15-4:00 pm in the gym and requires a signed permission slip.
Snapology
Snapology is coordinated by our campus partner and a previous teacher. It provides opportunities for students to participate in organized STEM and/or robotics fun instructional programs. Snapology meets after school from 3:00-4:30 pm and requires enrollment through their website. The program themes rotate every few weeks.
