Roadrunner Leadership
Carline Arrival
Our roadrunner leaders program is led by a committee of teachers and administrators. They provide student leadership opportunities and activities to model Emerson Core Values to younger students and peers.
Roadrunner leaders help with arrival in the morning by opening car doors, welcoming students, and setting up the flags; with dismissal in the afternoon by escorting younger students with adults to dismissal locations and taking down the flags; and with our office-to-classroom deliveries, organizing supplies, new student support, building tours, and miscellaneous help.
These students sign a contract to model our core values, keep up with grades and school attendance, and stay out of trouble. Students wishing to join the program need to turn in a completed application and checklist, maintain passing grades, attend school regularly, pass an interview with the committee, and sign a behavior agreement. The process is designed to promote leadership skills and the soft skills needed to complete an application process and interview for a future job.
