Volunteers in Public Schools (VIPS)
Got some free time on your hands? We could use it! Join our Emerson family of volunteers and help out today!
Here are just some of the activities we'll need volunteers for:
- Classroom Helpers/Parties
- Field Day
- Field Trips
- Library Time
- Literacy Night
- Lunch Duty
- Math & Science Night
- Reading Room
- Recess Duty
- Science Fair
- Spring Dance
- Workroom Copies, etc.
Online Volunteer form
The new and improved criminal history background check is now online.
Click on the link to complete your history for the school year.
Once you get to the link, click "Apply for this Position" on the right side of the page. You are applying to become a volunteer, NOT an employee.
Next Register as a New Applicant.
Fill out the next page and then click SAVE.
Once done at the end of each page, be sure to save or submit it.
You will then receive an email that it has been completed.
Campus principals are provided with a list of all approved volunteers.
